North White Pocket in 360 Degrees

White Pocket is such a fabulously unique place that will blow your mind.  Getting there is a little tricky for the very sandy roads can be a nightmare.  We were lucky and went in the winter when the sand was frozen.  We also had a tire pump to decompress our tires to get through the sand if need be, and then pump them back up, but we never needed it.  You do need a 4x4 vehicle with high clearance and have the smarts to know to avoid most of the ditches made from other tires most of the time.  We did meet a guy that called an Uber and got dropped off up here and camped.  Who knew right?!

Finding the Paper Thin Sandstone Creations in North White Pocket

We went through the first parking lot and to the second parking lot to the North to get here.  These paper thin sandstone creations are so very cool and unique.  I have heard that there is another set of creations like these west of the main "Brain Center" in White Pocket, but I haven't been there yet.

GETTING TO WHITE POCKET

Where is White Pocket?
Map to get to White Pocket.  Use Grey Route.
White pocket is on the Utah Arizona Border.  There are 2 routes to get to white Pocket the Grey lighter route is better for the length of dirt roads coming in from the north is sometimes rough, and if it has been wet and there is someone in the area not really capable of the really tough drive, it can plug up anyone else getting through.  If you come in from the south, it is only tough on the last section through the deep sand.

Other Cool Formations to Watch For on the Drive into White Pocket.

We were keeping lookout of cool formations like the sand stone ones above on the drive in.  We didn't see any other Sand Stone formations, but we found a few of these cool looking guys that look like creatures of some sort or another.

Make sure you rotate around so you can see the Creatures.  I am just walking around them here, so they are there somewhere, YOU JUST HAVE TO FIND THEM in the 360 Trail!  :)

This Nasty Looking Rock I am totally naming "Jabba The Hutt" after the creature in Star Wars. I think this one might actually might be even nastier!

As a last Suggestion, if you are heading North you also might want to add
"House On Fire" via Mule Canyon
on you list.  It was a fun hike where you got to constantly enjoy the stream, and the Native American Ruins were wonderful.
